THE BEGINNING
The Firstar Sports brand was developed in 2004 by founding partners Doug Thom and Hank Wang, where it first gained a reputation for product innovation and industry leadership as a manufacturer. It was at this time Doug and Hank, dedicated their full-time efforts to developing the potential of their own Microfibre performance material and new fabrics. This decision was made after seeing the explosive growth of the performance apparel industry and knowing that sportswear is only in the infancy of the performance fabric revolution.

SCIENTIFICALLY ADVANCED
The process of creating the world’s best performance materials began with our evaluation of different Poly Microfibre, weaving processes, color dying and air permeability combinations. This process and material development was completed after eight months of exhaustive scientific testing using Canadian laboratories and the knowledge and resources of our industry experts in textile manufacturing, color-fast companies, sewing facilities and our own desire to create the highest quality performance materials in the world.

The result of these efforts has given Firstar the right to claim sportswear’s “best of breed” in moisture-wicking, quick dry apparel. Our MST™ sportswear products perform as well or better than any comparable garment made by any major brand name on the market.
