New VP of Sales Michael Topliss Plans to Grow FIRSTAR Brand in Many Areas

Firstar recently added Michael Topliss to its ‘Dream Team’ of achievers that are taking the FIRSTAR brand into emerging markets and growing it in existing markets. Michael will directly oversee 17 sales reps across Canada and help plan the company’s aggressive launch into the US over the next year. 

“We will continue getting the attention of athletes and coaches with the durability and breathability of our FIRSTAR products,” says Michael, who has held executive/director positions on the Canadian Sporting Goods Assoc., Sport Industry Credit Assoc., and Bicycle Trade Association of Canada. “I’m also excited to see more hockey moms and youth athletic organizations recognize that even kids need uniforms that breathe better.” 40 percent of Firstar’s sales are now to athletes under 18.

Michael’s leadership ability, experience in the apparel industry and strong connections across the country will undoubtedly help Firstar Performance Apparel exceed its sales goals by the end of 2010.
