FIRSTAR SPORTS SIGNS RUSS COURTNALL

NHL STAR IS NEW DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT

Surrey, BC – FIRSTAR Sports Inc. is pleased to announce that, effective immediately, former NHL star Russ Courtnall has signed on as Director of Corporate Development.  Mr. Courtnall, a native of Victoria, BC, played 15 seasons with the NHL from 1983 to 1999, finishing with 744 points. Considered a top prospect in his final year of junior hockey, he was seventh overall in the 1984 entry draft and was selected to play for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Mr. Courtnall’s hockey career included playing for the Montreal Canadiens, Minnesota North Stars, Dallas Stars, New York Rangers and Los Angeles Kings.  He is well known to Vancouver hockey fans, having spent part of the ‘94-‘95 season with the Vancouver Canucks, teaming with his brother Geoff for 13 games.

Mr. Courtnall will provide strategic counsel to the business development team and will oversee trade relations.
